I’ve been Googling for a solution on how to get Trac and Joomla! to work together without too much work. The best thing would be a Joomla! Trac bridge, but I’ve not succeeded  in finding something like that. I’ve found some partly information about how to get Joomla! authenticated users to be accepted by Trac as authenticated but nothing about how to get Joomla! and Trac to share their user database. So I started poking around with different Trac settings and I suddenly found that Mandriva Linux had a package named trac-mysql which makes Trac capable of connecting to a MySQL database instead of a SQLite database so I started to search for a way to migrate from SQLite to MySQL and I got several hits on Google but as all you guys searching for things regarding Trac on Google is almost 99% pointless since it will show a hit for every Trac powered site in the world which is open for web crawlers. I’ve been experimenting with Google Apps for a month now on brumoen.net, and I’ve also helped Thomas over at JoomProd.com setting up Google Apps for joomprod.com, bebecalin.net and mariage33.com with great success. So now both of us are using Google Apps to handle our mail services. A lot easier and resource saving for our servers. The great thing about Google Apps is that you are allowed to setup 100 user accounts with the free plan, they have a pay plan and a plan for non-profit organizations and schools as well. A small update about bytt.no, this web portal is still alive, but we should get some more traffic in there so that even more people get to know about the concept. I’m currently working on a new design and a new exchange module, if everything goes like planned it will be published in the end of the summer vacation.

Bare en liten oppdatering om bytt.no, den nett-portalen lever, men vi skulle hatt litt mer trafikk inne der sånn at flere folk blir klar over konseptet. For tiden så driver jeg å jobber med et nytt design og en ny byttemodul i det skjulte.. Hvis ting går som det skal så vil dette bli lansert i slutten av sommerferien.

Well it’s time for some changes..

I decided to drop the Drupal CMS “blog” I used to have, it still lives for those who wants to read my old posts, but this is now my new “home” on the net.
